Privacy Notice for Recruitment

In connection with our recruitment processes, Joe & The Juice will, as the data controller, collect and process personal data about job applicants and scouted persons invited to events concerning jobs in Joe & The Juice.

In this privacy notice, we describe in details how we process and use your personal data during the recruitment processes in Joe & The Juice.

 

1. Categories of personal of data and purposes

☒  Non-sensitive categories of personal data: Name, address, phone number, email, gender, nationality, age, photo, name of scout from Joe & The Juice and preferences for working hours.

 

We process the personal data for the following purposes:

  • Recruitment of new employees
  • Assessment of job applicants’ personal and professional qualifications
  • Inviting scouted persons to events concerning job opportunities in Joe & The Juice
  • Contacting scouted persons and inviting them to job interviews
  • To comply with applicable personal data protection regulation and safeguarding Joe & The Juice’s other legitimate interests, e.g.
    • Documentation requirements
    • Compliance with basic principles and legal grounds for processing personal data
    • Putting in place, maintaining and testing technical and organisational security measures
    • Investigating and reporting suspected personal data breaches, if any
    • Handling requests and complaints from data subjects and others, if any
    • Handling inspections and queries by supervisory authorities, if any
    • Handling disputes with data subjects and third parties, if any

2. The legal basis for the collection and processing of the personal data

The legal basis for collection and processing of personal data related to job applicants is the following: 

  • The collection and processing is necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests pursued by Joe & The Juice, cf. article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The legitimate interests consist in having the appropriate information to be able to assess the job applicants’ qualifications before they are employed in Joe & The Juice.
  • The collection and processing is necessary for the purposes of storing a job application for future job opportunities is your consent, cf. article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.

The legal basis for collection and processing of personal data related to scouted persons is the following: 

  • The collection and processing is necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests pursued by Joe & The Juice, cf. article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The legitimate interests consist in having the appropriate information to be able to contact the scouted persons and invite them for a casting session or another event concerning job opportunities in Joe & The Juice.

When we collect personal data directly from you for the purpose of recruitment, you provide the personal data voluntarily and in order to be invited to a job interview or another job event. You are not obliged to provide the information to us. The consequences of not providing the personal data are that we cannot invite you to a job event or that we cannot offer you a job.

You have the right to withdraw your consent. If you withdraw the consent, this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing prior to the withdrawal. Please contact us using the contact details below if you wish to exercise this right.

 

3. Transfer of personal data to data processors

We transfer the personal data to our IT providers, who provide the systems and tools and store personal data for us. 

 

4. International transfers of personal data to recipients (both controllers and processors) in countries outside the EU/EEA

We may transfer the personal data to the following recipients located in countries outside the EU/EEA:

5. Retention period

If you are a scouted person and have been invited to a job event and have not been offered a job interview, we will delete your personal data after 6 months.

If you – as a scouted person or a job applicant - have been to a job interview, and the job is filled by another candidate, your personal data will be deleted at the time of rejection unless we obtain your consent to further storing for future positions.

 

If you obtain employment, we will store the provided personal data in accordance with the privacy notice for employees.

 

6. Your rights

Subject to the conditions set out in the applicable data protection legislation, you enjoy the following rights:

  • The right to request access to the personal data
  • The right to rectification of the personal data
  • The right to erasure of the personal data
  • The right to restriction of processing
  • The right to object to the processing of the personal data
  • The right to data portability

 

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, such as the Danish Data Protection Agency or the relevant supervisory authority located within the market or country that you are placed. Please consult the relevant websites for each supervisory authority for how to submit a complaint.

 

7. The right to object to the processing of the personal data

 

You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to processing of personal which is based article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, including profiling based on this provision. Joe & The Juice must no longer process the personal data unless Joe & The Juice demonstrates compelling legitimate grounds for the processing, which override your interests, rights and freedoms or if processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
